This week they are all pros at using the litter box. They are eating Royal Canin baby cat kibble and Gerber baby food (turkey) . Sven the seal point male is very bold and greets me first when I enter the room. The others are all focused on mama Maple 99 percent of the time. She is a great mother, and very relaxed.

All five kittens are super healthy and fat. Maple is fat too. They are not adventuring out of the box yet. That will happen next week. It is very clear that one male is a seal point. He has an orange collar. His name is Sven. Two lynx point girls have pink collars, Anna and Elsa. One girl has a lavender collar, Ola. and One boy has a gold collar, he is Kristoff. They are named from my granddaughter's favorite movie, Frozen .
All kittens will be photographed later this week.

One seal point and 4 lynx points. Mama Maple is still fat, babies are fat and roly poly. Grandma is holding them with me in the evenings in our laps in front of tv. Such adorable babies. This is their last week in the nest box. Next week I'll open up the room for them to adventure in. They might even try some real food. Note the slight discoloration around their mouths from nursing.

Two weeks. Eyes are opening. I think they are all lynx points but there might be a seal point . The smallest one has caught up and they are all basically fatties now.
I am using a flushable litter called Okocat. It gets everywhere..in the bed, in their fur etc. I'll be transitioning back to World's Best cat litter. The darlings will be spending the next 2 weeks in the nest box. I'll be visiting about 4-5 times per day for petting and holding. This is a very mellow group. They will have colored collars to help identify them later. IT looks like 3 girls and 2 boys. I'll be keeping a girl for my cattery as Maple is retiring after this. She has earned it. Thanks again to Connie at Sibericat in Canada for her.

Maple is being a great Mama. Her kittens are all fat but one seems smaller and less assertive. Five is still a pretty big litter and there is competition for the milk. I'll continue to observe weights and sometimes let the little one nurse alone. Maple is eating 3 cans of food per day plus a lot of dry food. She is a fatty.
Welcome to Maple's June litter blog born June 26th, 2022
Five beautiful classic seal lynx points (I think) . Genders tba.
