Update Feb 22nd, 2021 Kittens born Feb 3rd and Mia is hopefully pregnant
Hi! I've been away from my computer for 5 weeks. My apologies for that. We had a terrible ice storm for a week, and I spent 4 weeks at my daughter's house taking care of my new granddaughter! Cat news: Maple gave birth to 5 beautiful kittens. Three will be available to those on my wait list. Two will be held back for breeder reserve. This means these kittens will be used to grow the cattery. A new blog page is in the menu above showing these kittens and their growth. Expect weekly updates. Mia, my large blue point cat has bred with Malusha and kittens are expected on April 15th or near that. Mia comes from a line that produces large litters so we hope that will be the case for her. Maple's kittens will be ready to go home at 12 weeks of age around April 25-28th.

Maple is due to have kittens the first week of February with the sire being Angara Malusha of Lundberg, owned by Lundberg Siberians. Maple's kittens will be raised near Sellwood in Portland. The litter pick female will go to the Lundbergs and then other kittens going to people waiting patiently on my waitinglist. Maple has often had 5 kittens per litter. Mia is just starting to go into heat and is playing hide and seek with Malusha. I expect to have a 2nd litter of kittens shortly after the 1st litter. My waiting list is closed until summer 2021. All of Mia and Maple's kittens have been reserved. Covid has made the shortage of kittens apparent. I only have two queens currently so this is why I am not taking more reservations at this time. Stay healthy!
Dec 2020
Well the holidays are upon us. Sending out warm wishes from me and all of the cats. We are all adapting to the new normal this year with zoom meetings and facetime chats instead of real time and hugs. Cat news : Maple is ready to breed on her next heat. With these short and dark days I'm not sure when that will be. Her kittens will be raised by my good long time friend Sami in Portland. Sami has successfully raised many litters for me in the past and has been employed by the cattery as a cleaner and animal handler. I'll be relocating to Vancouver, WA in the new year and of course bringing my cats with me. I certainly hope that my next update includes information on a mating of Mia and or Maple. Again, Happy Holidays! My waiting list remains closed. I have taken applications for the next two litters.
Update Oct 9th, 2020
One of my former queens is coming back to live with me. SIbericat Lucille, aka Maple aka Malu is a seal tabby lynxpoint cutie with lots of mothering experience behind her. She just had a litter for another cattery so she will be allowed to rest and recover, put on weight and possibly have kittens ready in the fall. It kind of depends on what the vet thinks at her next check up. I will be keeping one of her female kittens for the cattery.
Mia has not come into heat lately and so I can't say when she will be bred. Watch this space for updates. EZ was spayed and will go to live with my mother in her retirement home in Seattle as a companion kitty.
