Welcome to Hanna's June 12th, '23 litter blog page! 6 kittens.
Congratulations Hanna for 6 beautiful kittens.
All kittens have been placed in new homes.
Sep 4th - 12 weeks. Adventuring around the house
The three remaining kittens (all reserved by those on the waiting list) are running free in the house except for night time and our meal time when they go play in the kitten room. The kitten room is a bedroom just full of toys and cat trees, a large nylon tunnel ( 6 feet) and a big window to watch birds and squirrels.
They are gaining weight and being very good about using the litter box. Leo aka Boris has a habit of climbing up my jeans and shirt to my shoulder where he rides around . Artemesia and Frida and Boris follow me around and it's pretty impossible to work on my laptop while they are jumping onto the keyboard. They are ALL OVER everything I do. LOL. I love it. What a fun time. We are working on trying on harnesses and riding in the car this week in the carrier. We will go on rides to nowhere in the driveway. It gets them used to the sounds of the car and being confined for short periods of time. I'll also put a carrier in the kitten room for them to play in.

Update Aug 28th, '23. 11 weeks. Finishing up socialization training - Instant purr
The kittens are ready to go home this weekend but due to some folk's schedules some will be leaving later over the next 2 weeks. The kittens have been meeting people from different age groups and really are very social now. They purr when you walk in the room and rush to cuddle. These photos may have been taken right after a nap. They look sleepy. I posted photos of what they are eating: Blue Buffalo Tastefuls kitten dry and Gerber poultry meat baby food (turkey or chicken).. once or twice a day. I use World's Best litter because it clumps well but most importantly it rinses right off if it gets in their fur or in between toes.
Aug 19th, '23 Gaining confidence and cuddling skills
All of this litter has been reserved.
Updated personality descriptions: From the foster family:
Vincent: Very calm, snuggly, and playful.
Leonardo aka Boris: Playful, eats a lot, purrs all the time and he licks a lot.
Frida - yellow collar: She is extremely playful, purrs easily and very snuggly.
Artemesia - pink collar: She craves attention and gets it. She is chill and she does cute things.
They are all extremely snuggly.

Aug 13th, '23 Personalities developing and results of vet exam
Leonardo below is reserved for Todd (#1 on the list). He will be living part time in Arizona and part time on the road exploring the USA. His eyes are getting more green. His big white paws reveal a potentially large size. He and Artemesia, Vincent and Frida are living with my dear friends in Damascus, Oregon to enjoy being socialized and getting lots of attention and love. Healthy kitty.
Vincent is sweet and hangs back for a few minutes when the toys come out. Then his siblings jump on top of him. He will be a stunning big red and white boy. The next 3 weeks will change him into a more confident kitty. He was a Momma's boy. He is healthy and ready to go Sep 2nd. He will be offered to those on the reservation list.
Frida, is a pretty girl and a favorite with the kids. She is bold and assertive once she gets going with the wand toys. She also like the other kittens really enjoys those plastic spring toys. Frida is a lynx point with white and will have blue eyes and get a little bit darker over the coming years. She is healthy and ready Sep2nd. She will be offered to those on the reservation list.
Artemesia, Pink collar, is a beautiful dilute calico or lynxpoint torbie. She has blue eyes too and is the 2nd most confident at this stage. Artemesia has a nick name of Peach. She loves ping pong balls and feather wand toys. I love her look and white mittens. Healthy and ready Sep 2nd. She will be offered to those on the reservation list.
Aug 6th., '23. Just about 8 weeks
The babies are growing up and developing new skills chasing wand toys and balls around the living room. This week they have their vet exam on Friday and 1st FVRCP vaccine. I'll be taking video of them this week. They purr when held and still love to climb my pantleg to get attention. After the vet exam I'll post personality descriptions.
July 27th, '23 Six weeks old.
The babies are still nursing round the clock but also eating Blue Buffalo Tastefuls Kitten dry food (Chicken and brown rice). and Gerber turkey babyfood. The dry food is free fed (available 24/7) until they are 1-2 years old. The wet food is an option. I like babyfood because the stool has little odor. Plus it is not full of fillers and what not. They are all using the litter box 100 pct. Hanna does still groom them and lick their fur regularly. Hanna is being a terrific mother.
We have collars on the ones that look similar:
PINK Artemesia female lynx point with white
ORANGE Georgia female lynx point with white
YELLOW Frida female lynx point with white
and no collars on the three tabbies:
Leonardo male blue and white tabby
Vincent male red and white tabby
Mary female blue and white tabby
You'll notice all kittens have white mittens. It's a cute bunch. I look forward to seeing their personalities develop.

July 16th, '23 -- 5 weeks
Messy, messy, messy! It is messy week. They are eating wet food and Gerber turkey baby food. I am often washing faces to help Hanna keep them clean. They are climbing my pantlegs and sitting on my shoes when I walk. What a fun bunch! So friendly and cute. Vincent the red kitty , Leonardo the blue boy, Mary the blue girl, and the 3 color point girls: Artemesia, Frida and Georgia are all named after painters (artists). I'll pop on some hair tie collars next week to help identify them. Today we had visitors again and they got lots of attention.
July 11th, '23 4 weeks
This family of kittens are already moving about their kitten room and starting to eat wet food. They are almost potty trained. I am impressed at the speed at which they are maturing. But they are nursing frequently, at least every 3 hours. Hanna is more relaxed than she has been in the past. Her mellow attitude is great for mothering. The kittens run to greet me when I enter the room and lick my shoes or toes, and wrestle with my laces and pant legs. Next week I'll do individual photos. I was lucky enough to have my good friends visit over the weekend and the kittens got to meet new people.
July 2nd, '23, almost 3 weeks.
Eyes are open and they are well fed from Hanna. This week they are just gaining their coordination skills and living in the nest box. Next week they will move out of my bedroom and into their own room for potty training and exploring with more space. Hanna is a great mom. She is very protective and attentive. The blue and white male is on hold for the 1st person on the list . The other kittens will be offered to those on the reservation list and picking will be after their 8 week vet check up. They will be going home the 1st week of September at 12 weeks. Exact dates tba. The light colored kittens are lynxpoints: blue eyes. All of the kittens have mittens.
June 23rd, almost 2 weeks. Eyes starting to open.
Update June 18th, '23 One week. Eyes closed.
Six days old. All looking good so far. The 3 lynx points I think are females. There is one tabby female : Blue and white. Two definite males: Dilute red with white and a Blue with white. I can't wait for their little eyes to open at 10-14 days. They eat and sleep, eat and sleep, repeat.
Day 2. June 14
Easy delivery. All healthy!
Watch this space for updates. Hanna is due any day now. Kittens will be offered to those on the waiting list.
