Twelve weeks. This group is enjoying the love and attention in their foster home with 3 kids. They are sleeping on top of the kids and being held a lot. Karl and lynxpoint is a true gentleman. He is tolerant and kind and patient. Queenie is a tortie and is a little spicy, playful and goofy. Lincoln is social and sweet and snuggly. All are super fun but very different. Queenie and Karl are going to live together with MP in the Seattle area. Lincoln is going to live with another Siberian. All 3 will be going to their new terrific families on next weekend.

Nine weeks, weaning this week and first Fvrcp kitten vaccine today. They are all fat and 110 percent litter box trained. Queenie and Karl will be going together at Easter to live in the Seattle area. Peace will be living with a Nala kitten eventually and Lincoln will be also going to the Seattle area to live with another Daisley Siberian . After weaning the kittens go into a rigorous socialization where they have lots of exposure and playtime with children. This group will go to live with my friend who has 6 kids! They will be spoiled rotten, sleep on the bed and help the kids with their homework and accompany them in all daily activities. The photo quality will be better on the next update. I was using a wand toy to get them to look at the camera and got some 'crazy' looks. The kittens are named by my mother after old roses.

Seven and a half weeks old. These guys are potty trained, eating dry food and turkey babyfood and nursing. We moved them to a larger room with cat trees and lots more toys. They are extremely energetic. Lots of wrestling and running, climbing and growing.
We have given the kittens nick names and of course they can be changed in their new homes. The girl with orange cheeks is Queen Elizabeth aka Queenie. The lynxpoint boy with blue eyes and white mittens is Karl Foerster aka Karl. The black tabby male with white chest and mittens is Abe Lincoln aka Lincoln. The torbie female with orange stripe on her nose is Peace. These are names of old roses and my mom is quite the gardener so it was her contribution.
We are almost at the 8 week mark when I describe personalities as they are developing every day. Things I'll be doing this week: nail trims, baths and brushing. They don't really need the bath but it is important for them to start early. Bathing your kitten/cat a few times a month can really help reduce allergens. Video coming in next posting.

Six and a half weeks old. These cuties are all well rounded, friendly balls of fluff. They all play happily together and are just barely starting to develop individual personalities. The lynx point boy is a pant leg climber. He wants to get attention first. The black tabby male is relaxed and happy go lucky. Both girls (red and black fur) are sweet and gorgeous. I am so so happy with this bunch. I'll be moving them to a larger room tomorrow. They are 100pct or at least 99pct litterbox trained now. They have an intense interest in the water bowl so I put a towel nearby to mop up the water spills. Willow, their mother is a large beautiful and peaceful cat.

Messy 5th week. Trying out the potty boxes (numerous low trays) but not quite skilled yet. Lovely personalities are emerging. All are sweet and calm and enjoy being petted and stroked. They waddle to me when I come into their room. They have started to play with toys and like to jump into the water bowl.

The kittens are wandering around their room now but still spending the majority of the time in the nest box. They are not interested in food but do follow mama Willow around 24/7. Next week we will have kitten names.

This very, very fat group are starting to want to climb out of the nest box. Tomorrow I'll cut a door in the cardboard and let them roam their room. They are not interested in real food yet. but will be introduced to balls and furry mice to bat around. Now they are most interested in mama Willow. We will start using short wand feather toys with bells and should be able to get them to pose for the camera by next week's session. The lymxpoint male is on a breeder hold at this time. The two girls with red splashes on their faces, and the black/brown mackerel tabby male will be offered to those on the reservation list. Choosing starts at 8 weeks after they have a wellness check up at my vet.

This group of 2 males and 2 females are still super fat. Probably so fat that it is hard for them to get upright after rolling onto their back. They bat at each other and play and army crawl around the box. Mama Willow is so relaxed. The babies are getting held daily between me and my cattery helpers. We talk to them and tell them how wonderful they are everyday.

Eyes are still closed as we approach one week old. It now appears there are 2 males, 2 females and all are super fat. Mama Willow has settled down nicely and is feeding them all day and night. She is eating a lot too. They are very quiet which means they are never hungry!

Twelve hours old in the photos below. I think we have 3 dark girls and one colorpoint male. At least two of the girls are torbies with black and red striped fur. They are quiet and content and sleep in a pile. Mother Willow is on her 2nd litter and she is grooming and nursing them regularly. Lots of white mittens in this healthy family.
