Today was bath day and we also went for our first car ride with Runa and Kia. I let them loose in the car and drove around Corvallis listening to the radio. After 20 minutes they settled down and got bored. They sat on the center armrest and purred. They are very happy together. Kia is more confident and sometimes a "pistol" and Runa is more of a sweet princess. There is a generalization that Torties have "attitude" and Kia does when challenged. I'm taking them in for their booster vaccines and possible spay surgeries tomorrow at the clinic. Tuesday and Wednesday they will sleep and watch tv. Wednesday night Sam and Steph are picking them up to go "home"!!!! Brother, Moloko will stay with Dad (Anatolii) and play "chase" around the living room until Saturday when he flies to Santa Barbara and 'home' to his new family!
Going to put 'bitter apple' spray on the electric cords as Runa has taken to chewing on things... also I will buy them more toys and they are exploring and enjoying the enclosed patio this week. Today they listened to the birds and felt the wind in their fur. The warm weather (80F) made them lazy and they all had a long nap. My daughter took some candid photos of Lady, our fifteen year old Border Collie mix and little Runa today. I took Moloko to work with me today and Dr Christina neutered him. He weighs in at 2.63 pounds. Have a peek at the you tube videos.. there is a silly one of these three kittens playing casually with my daughter Lauren and her friend Kevin. This link will lead you into youtube and on to other people's videos ...but it is the only way I can figure out how to show it ........search "youtube daisleysiberians channel" Schedule: 6 am - 10 am run around the house, then sleep. 9 pm run run run. 3am sleep. The three sweet kittens are content and relaxed but don't like the flash on my camera...They are walking and climbing around.. and playing with all kinds of things. Kittens weigh 1lb 11 oz - 1 lb 7 ounces. They love to be held and could sit on my chest and around my neck for hours. Mama Sofiia is still very watchful and calls them close to her frequently. The kittens are eating canned tuna, canned cat food and dry food. I have to wash their faces sometimes to help Sofiia. The kittens appear very peaceful. They sleep in a basket on a wool blanket and usually stay close to each other. This week we are learning not to play with electric cords, to tolerate our toe nail trims and spending a little bit of time away from mom each day. It is time to name the cuties soon.. and the girls really look like they have been sipping Lattes. Name ideas welcome. Updates next week.
