Update. Jarohna is reserved. $1400. Very low allergen. Below is a short video of her today. It took an hour to tire her out so she would fit into the frame.. she is VERY ACTIVE and loves to run and jump around chasing the feather wand toys. Jarohna, like her siblings will do well with a home with another cat, a dog or children!
Welcome to Pookie's kitten blog! Update Aug 3rd.
The kittens had their final vet exam today and I am planning on taking them to Damascus, Oregon (home of the Hardy family) for a meet and greet pick up party in the afternoon of Saturday August 13th. I hope everyone can make that date." Javora "will be getting a ride to Seattle (Mud Bay Pet Store on Mercer Island) a few days later.
Food: They are eating two kinds of dry food and daily probiotics. You can choose either or both . I am starting to wean them off of the Royal Canin now. If you wish to change to a new food please do it in a month when the kitten is settled.

This delightful girl gave birth to 5 wonderful kittens of different colors. One red classic tabby male, one black and red torbie (tortoise) female, one black classic tabby (swirls), and black mackerel tabby (stripes) and one solid black. Three of them will have their gender confirmed shortly at their first vet visit. Pookie, aka Goldendawn Mahogany was raised with a family in Northern California and is very relaxed and affectionate. She is passing on this relaxed nature to her kittens. The red male is promised to the "L" family who have a relative of this kitten already in their home. The other kittens will be offered to those on the reservation list. Pookie's father is a show champion named Shokolad who is a big, round-faced chocolate brown classic tabby male with an extremely gentle personality. Maple and Pookie are best friends and will be raising their kittens together (their decision).... although I tried to keep them apart they keep putting their kittens together in the same box.. so I relented and set them up with very large accommodations. Enjoy the slideshows and watching these kittens and their weekly updates marking growth and development. Update: Vet visit 6/3/16. Gender exam. 99 percent sure notations below are correct.
Update June 11th, 2016 - Almost three weeks old.
The kittens are all walking now.. although it is more of a 'waddle". Red boy is independent and often rolling around kicking in the air. He likes Maple a lot and is much larger than his sisters. The black female had a 'gooby' eye.. not an infection.. just slow to open so I've been washing her eye a lot. If not resolved by mid week we will be seeing the vet for eye drops. The black female is using her voice and eye contact a lot with me.. generally a sign of intelligence. The torbie (black with red stripes mixed in and a beige toe or two..) is very adventurous.. typical of a gal with the red color gene. Today she leaped off of my bed putting all four legs out in the air as if she had wings. I might call her Angel as a nickname. The black classic female is showy and very pretty. She photographs well and has a very pretty face. The black striped mackerel tabby female is slow to shine. She is a passive and sweet kitten who will probably make a lovely lap kitty. All are healthy and plump. Names coming soon.
