Welcome to Nala's kitten blog. Born 8-18-24
Go home dates: Nov 15-17th except for 2 kittens who are boarding
12-15-24
Acacia is on the plane as I write this to her new family in California. This blog will be archived soon and searchable in menu under kitten name or Nala's Aug litter '24.
12-4-24
Acacia is boarding her for a few more weeks . She is a super fun kitten with a passion for play. She loves chewing on pens and batting them off the table to get your attention. Acacia also climbs my pantleg for attention. She is very dog like and likes to be with her people. She plays chase with imaginary friends up and down the hallway but always a quick purr when petted. She is a little wiggly and has a short attention span . We are working on that everyday and carrying her around. She is inquisitive and intelligent. I will miss her when she goes to her new home .
11-11-24
This bunch is all reserved to wonderful homes. They will be going home over the next week or so with 2 exceptions. Laurel and Acacia will be boarding longer here. I look forward to spoiling them. Grandma is really loving playing with them with wand toys. There are videos of them on my youtube channel I'll be posting over the next few days. All of the boys are big eaters and I have to feed the girls separately to make sure they get their fair share. I will continue getting them used to nail trims and bathing them this week.
10-27-24
This bunch is extremely lovable . I gave them their Fvrcp vaccines this morning and they purred through it. My neighbor and her teen daughter, and my friend, my mom (the cat grandma) and myself have been handling these babies and holding them from the beginning. They are soo affectionate and love people. On Monday the girls go to live at my friends' house for more socialization. The goal is to develop the best possible pet; confident and fun and loving. The boys stay here for more focused attention. At this point I have two on the reservation list and three of this litter are available. Ill be emailing those people to help them choose this week and next weekend. Also Albuquerque from Hazelnut's litter is available .
Yellow collar - ASPEN- is a complete doll. She is playful and a real foodie. Aspen rolls over on her side when you pet her. She is sweet, feminine and has a beautiful personality. Available to those on the reservation list.
ACACIA is loving, an explorer and very nimble. She jumps up to high spots on the cat trees like the boy kittens do. She follows me around and still rolls on her side for belly rubs. Sweet pie!
MAPLE. Relaxed and also super fun like her litter mates. Purr machine. Gorgeous eyes. Maple will be a great family cat.
10-21-24 Nine weeks.
Great news, the vet visit went perfectly. All are super healthy and the vet actually said their "body score condition was perfect. great looking bunch".
I am slowly and methodically going through the reservation list based on when application was received and letting people choose a kitten. I can chat on the phone too to discuss personalities further. The kittens reserved so far are Laurel (green) and Coconut (royal blue). This week weaning begins and they will start their vaccine series. They are eating each one jar of babyfood per day plus dry Blue Buffalo tastefuls, kitten food. Keeping the water bowls clean is a challenge as some of them have taken to playing in the water. The photos below are taken right after a meal.... before nap time.
Acacia is a doll. When you approach she rolls over on her side and waits to be petted and stroked. She purrs readily and is super sweet.
Alder has been curious and fun. She is a ham for the camera. Still a mama's girl and loves swatting at my feather/jingle bell wand toy.
Maple has striking blue blue eyes and is a little madam. Confident, playful, fun and adorable. Little purr machine.
Aspen loves her food and being held. She is often chasing furry mice toys and loves watching squirrels and birds from her perch until she falls asleep.
Laurel and Macintosh are the mellow boys who love attention and are first to the food dish. Both boys will be stunning and large.
Coconut is a nut. He is a shoelace hound, helps when I clean the litter box by jumping at the scoop and climbs my pant leg for attention.

10-13-24 Eight weeks. . New go home dates.
These babies are eating Gerber turkey babyfood several times per day and their dry Blue Buffalo Tastefuls kibble. (kitten formula). They like playing with the ping pong balls and their Turbo Scratcher toy. The favorite thing to do when they are not running and wrestling is to hang out on the cat tree by the window and watch activities especially squirrels that race around the front yard. I often find them asleep facing the window.. in a kitten pile up. Mackintosh is often sleeping alone with his face down in a fuzzy blanket... however the other babies sleep in a kitten mountain of fluff. Because they are small the cat trees available to them are just waist high. I dont want anybody getting hurt jumping from a very tall place. Although they are potty trained they enjoy jumping from one litter box to another and kick out litter as they go. I keep a broom nearby . They new go home dates aren't set in stone. I postponed it because I want the babies to be as mature as possible to transition to their new homes with ease.

The little chubby kittens are out of the box and exploring their room. They enjoy being petted and love their mama. She is an experienced mom and always nearby chirping and purring to them. They follow her around trying to nurse. Because there are so many kittens she has to stand up to nurse. They purr when they nurse. It is loud when all are nursing at the same time. Mama Nala is eating all day long... about 6 cans per day. She needs that much to stay plump.
Later this week I'll do better photos and name them.

There is a fairly even mix of girls and boys. Some are a bit unclear . Sorry Im not being exact yet. Mama Nala is eating all day long and nursing too. The babies are super mellow right now and their eyes are not working yet. They are super fat. All are lynx point with blue eyes. They are very very quiet because they are content.

8-18-24 Congratulations Nala for seven kittens. All kittens will have pretty blue eyes. Born Aug 18th in the morning. Photos coming tomorrow. Right now she wants her privacy.
