Results are here and I am calling and or emailing everyone in the next few days. The numbers show one extremely low kitten, Jarena, who will be going to live with Lucy and her family. The other kittens have results in the very low and medium low categories. Only one kitten Jitka will not be suitable for homes with allergies. I am extremely pleased with the results and feel great that Nadya and Anatolii have made some big, healthy low allergen kittens with great personalities!!
Great morning.. vet exams went very well.. and playing with small children this afternoon. The lab received the saliva tests.
Now comes the longest week while we wait for results. .... Ill be in touch with everyone on the kitten owner list as soon as we have the lab data. Tom Lundberg of Lundberg Siberians and SIberian Research.. will be analyzing the report.
The kittens are getting very 'lovey' and affectionate. I sat on Teresa's couch last night and drank coffee while kittens licked my fingers. They are on their own most of the day now.. just visiting with mama Nadya once in the evening. Teresa is feeding them chicken thighs and rice, dry food and they are healthy and strong.
I really am so happy for Nadya that all of her kittens are big and have lovely minds. The Dally calico is even coming around to being social and warm. I am stereotyping calicos and torties a bit to being 'princesses' and feeling superior. Today the kittens got their Feline Distemper and upper respiratory combo vaccines. They will have a booster vaccine in a month with their new owners' veterinarians. Also it was a nice evening with friends from Seattle coming down for a kitten visit. Thank you for making the drive! We got the wands out and tried to tire the kittens... . Several of the little boy kittens were running around 'crazed' (about the feathers) with their little mouths open eyes fixated.. ignoring everyone and everything but the toys. The first round of saliva testing went well. We are planning on completing the series of three tests by next Thursday and mailing them to arrive by Monday the 8th at Indoor Biotech. The goal will be to have the results the week of the 15th. I will ask everyone to email me again or call and let me know which kittens you like the look of most and which least, as well as what type of personalities you prefer and how busy your house is with visitors. Don't worry about the 'scramble atmosphere'. Nadya and the kittens are all being fed dry food, home cooked meats and milk supplements also. Teresa's' kittens are always plump!
