Update Oct 3rd, 9 1/2 weeks
The vet exam went well. All get compliments from my vet and her staff. The kittens are enjoying wand toys this week. It will be a favorite activity from now on.
They are learning to come to a sound of a spoon tapping on a jar/plate/dish. ... expecting canned food. When they are running and playing in the house and I need to coax them back to the kitten room for rest time it is very easy. The kittens handled a bath and nail trims with flying colors. I am really enjoying this litter. Personalities are still developing. I'll start talking more about individual traits in the next update.

Update Sep 28th, 9 weeks
The kittens are all eating canned food and Gerber baby chicken food. . They are all quite plump. They are running and playing a lot but sleeping a lot too.
Myrtle 2.6 lbs Green collar
Douglas 2.5 lbs Orange collar
Zinnia 2.3 lbs Pink collar
Myrtle is camera shy and feels most confident around her mother. Her bond with Mia is strong. She will blossom in her own time.
Douglas is relaxed and curious. He often follows Mia around the house hopping and skipping right near her. Douglas has a lot of nice eye contact showing confidence.
Zinnia loves playtime. She is thrilled with ping pong balls and bits of leather or fur. Zinnia also enjoys her tunnel toys and wrestling with her siblings.
Below are some photos taken right after a nap. Please forgive the quality.

Myrtle, Zinnia and Douglas are all eating Gerber baby food now. They are all fat from Mama Mia's milk already so they will be even fatter soon. Potty training is still 100 percent successful. I'm so pleased. We used Fresh step clay litter and Dr. Elseys ultra too sometimes. They have low litter boxes that are easy to jump in and out of. Funnily enough though they often like to use Mia's big tall litter box anyway.
In the next week I'll start stirring the baby food in with canned and dry food to get them to transition . I scheduled their first vet visit for the 2nd of October. My vet is booked out 2-3 weeks and I am an established client. Vaccines will start on the 2nd and continue every 3-4 weeks until they are 16 weeks old. I'll email a health record to the new owners before handover day so you can be prepared at your 1st vet visit.
Pick up day will be October 30th which is a Saturday. The kittens will be being socialized after weaning just East of Portland at my dear friends' house with her wonderful children. They have been socializing kittens and raising kittens for me for many years. The kittens really benefit from the activity and love that their family provides. My goal is to have confident and social kittens on go home day.
Personalities are starting to develop. I'll be starting to focus on that in my next updates.

The three babies are all potty trained ! Today they moved officially to the kitten room at night. Its a safe room where they can run and play and won't keep me up all hours. This week we are working on playing with toes, so they will be easier to do nail trims as adults. They are not eating solid food yet. I have offered Royal Canin kitten dry food and guess they will start eating in the next 7-10 days. I'll start them on canned food and training them to come to the sound of a spoon clinking on a plate. Personalities will not develop for several weeks. Their main focus is mama Mia. Bella my dog is a good friend to the kittens.

Potty training week. Things are going well. Mama Mia is showing them where to go. The kittens have decided that they like my bed better than theirs so they are now sleeping and playing on it. I decided to go with the flow. They haven't started eating kibble or canned food yet. That will probably be next week. We have named them Myrtle, Zinnia and Douglas. They are named after botanicals/ trees and flowers. I'm sure they will have new names in their new homes. Douglas is very mellow and his sisters wrestle a lot and he seems to let them win. This will change over time.

Welcome to the world.... kittens are now outside of their nest box and exploring the bedroom with outings to the living room daily. They are very clingy with Mom, Mia. Bella the dog is a big entertainment for the kittens. At night one got confused and tried to nurse on her. There are two girls and one male. Next week I'll probably have collars on them and so we can start to see them as individuals. The kittens are still just nursing, no solid food yet. They have played in the water bowl, chewed on my shoelaces, climbed in and out of their basket and box.. and ran in circles with their tails in the air. Because Mia is a first time mom she is very protective of them. When they wander far from her she trills and chirps to call them back.

Update 8-13-21 Two and a half weeks
Just three perfect balls of fluff ... nursing on mama most of the time, sleeping in a pile, and very fat.
Update one week old. August 3rd. 2021
Mia had three kittens one week ago. Here are a few snapshots. Mama Mia is very protective of them . There appear to be two girls and one male. Time will tell if I am right in this. This is Mia's first litter and 3 lucky families who have been on my waiting list for about 6 months will be getting these lovely kitties.
What color are the kittens? Either blue point like mom or blue lynx like Dad is very likely. We should know their colors by 7-8 weeks. The lynx will have stripes and the blue points will have no stripes. Next weeks photos should show eyes open and we will do individual photos.
