8/13/16 All kittens in new homes.
Welcome to Maple's kitten blog.
Update Aug 3rd.
The kittens had a good vet visit today and are ready to go to their new homes on Saturday August 13th. I'll take them to Beka's home in Damascus, Oregon , just outside of Portland and will be there in the afternoon.
Food: They are eating two kinds of dry food and daily probiotics. You can choose either or both . I am starting to wean them off of the Royal Canin now. If you wish to change to a new food please do it in a month when the kitten is settled.

Update June 7th: They are not all lynxpoints as predicted. Seal point coloring is showing on one (so far) .. so watch this space for photos . I do have a breeder reserve on a seal point female that has been waiting over a year.. so this may be that kitten.
Update June 3rd . Ten days old. First vet visit: gender exam. Three girls, One boy (99%sure)
Thanks to the enthusiastic folks who helped determine genders today!
One week old.
Here we have four beautiful classic lynx point kittens. This is an unusual mating... Maple's sire, is a Canadian Champion and Hansel's sire is an American CFA (Cat Fanciers Association) Champion. Both parents of this litter have classic markings, as opposed to tabby stripes.. This will appear as light caramel colored swirls and broad stripes and circles which will darken with age. All are blue-eyed and of medium build at this early stage. The first slide show below was taken at one week and they haven't opened their eyes yet. I am hoping for calm kittens, playful but not hyperactive.. restful, peaceful souls. Although the vet exam will confirm I think there are three females and one male.
