All kittens are reserved by folks on the waiting list and go home dates are set. I took these photos at night so please forgive the quality and poor lighting. The kittens are bursting with energy. They find my dog interesting but don't love her yet. I will be very sorry to see these kitties go away. I hope their new families keep in touch. They will be due for their 3rd FVRCP vaccine Oct 6-13th. Please call your vet if you haven't already to set up an appointment. If you can't get into your vet and you live locally I am happy to do that for you here.

We got an 'all clear' (fecal test) from the vet today to set go home dates. They will have their 2nd vaccine on the 15th. I'll be reaching out to those on the list to set up meetings with the kittens soon.

This group is outgoing, purrs easily and very busy. They come quickly to the sound of tapping... racing to their food bowl. They have fairly compact bodies and are very fluffy. They are starting to like my big old dog. We play with the wand toy several times per day. They are adventurous and loving too. All will make terrific pets. I will set a "go home date" soon after I get one more 'all clear' from the vet .

The vet exams went well. The vet even commented that all kittens are breeding quality. They are now 9 weeks old and full of energy. They bound around the house gleefully and play soccer with colored ping pong balls. All of them purr easily when stroked. I am so pleased with their weights (fat) and personalities are emerging. Sven is still first to greet me. Elsa is a close second. She follows Sven around closely. Kristoff is starting to seek out attention more and more. He jumps into my lap for loves. Ola rolls on her back for a belly rub. I'll try to get some good video of them playing soon. My mother is really enjoying their company and keeps a wand toy at the ready . Unfortunately they are not interested in my old dog but they will come around to like her .

Eight weeks old and still playing in the water bowl ! Naughty kittens. This group loves running and follows me around the room. They are good greeters and very friendly. Sven is a game show host personality. He is the most outgoing. Kristoff, the other male, is sweet and gentle. Ola is always in the middle of activities. She is a favorite. Elsa is a good climber and has lots of eye contact. Probably very smart. Anna, only due to her coloring, is on breeder reserve at this time. Vet visit is scheduled for Friday. Maple, who is an older queen is super mellow and loving.

Well, here we are They are all still FAT. They have taken to climbing my pant legs when I visit. They have also started venturing around the house. Mama Maple is not concerned when they wander off. The paper towel roll took a turn for the worse today... and got all unraveled. They have plenty of toys, balls, a turbo scratcher and me to play with. They prefer wrestling with each other and playing king of the mountain on the scratch post. The dog is not their friend yet...but it is early days. My dog really want to be buddies. They have two more weeks of nursing and then they are weaned and start their vaccines. One female will be staying here in the cattery to take Maple's place. I'll wait until after the vet visit on the 27th to decide which one. At weaning the kittens will move into my bedroom at night for cuddles.

This week they are all pros at using the litter box. They are eating Royal Canin baby cat kibble and Gerber baby food (turkey) . Sven the seal point male is very bold and greets me first when I enter the room. The others are all focused on mama Maple 99 percent of the time. She is a great mother, and very relaxed.

All five kittens are super healthy and fat. Maple is fat too. They are not adventuring out of the box yet. That will happen next week. It is very clear that one male is a seal point. He has an orange collar. His name is Sven. Two lynx point girls have pink collars, Anna and Elsa. One girl has a lavender collar, Ola. and One boy has a gold collar, he is Kristoff. They are named from my granddaughter's favorite movie, Frozen .
All kittens will be photographed later this week.

One seal point and 4 lynx points. Mama Maple is still fat, babies are fat and roly poly. Grandma is holding them with me in the evenings in our laps in front of tv. Such adorable babies. This is their last week in the nest box. Next week I'll open up the room for them to adventure in. They might even try some real food. Note the slight discoloration around their mouths from nursing.

Two weeks. Eyes are opening. I think they are all lynx points but there might be a seal point . The smallest one has caught up and they are all basically fatties now.
I am using a flushable litter called Okocat. It gets everywhere..in the bed, in their fur etc. I'll be transitioning back to World's Best cat litter. The darlings will be spending the next 2 weeks in the nest box. I'll be visiting about 4-5 times per day for petting and holding. This is a very mellow group. They will have colored collars to help identify them later. IT looks like 3 girls and 2 boys. I'll be keeping a girl for my cattery as Maple is retiring after this. She has earned it. Thanks again to Connie at Sibericat in Canada for her.

Maple is being a great Mama. Her kittens are all fat but one seems smaller and less assertive. Five is still a pretty big litter and there is competition for the milk. I'll continue to observe weights and sometimes let the little one nurse alone. Maple is eating 3 cans of food per day plus a lot of dry food. She is a fatty.
