The kittens had their vet visit and the vet came out to the car to tell me how lovely they are. They are at their foster family home in Damascus getting socialized for the next 2-3 weeks. Updates will roll in ......

We have a veterinary wellness exam and vaccines on Friday this week . Leyland still has less poofy fur than his siblings but makes up for it in personality. He literally climbs up my leg for attention when I enter their room. He adventured around the house today by himself .. then with Hazelnut. Then the other kittens followed and we all had fun in living room and running up and down the hallway. They don't run actually , they bounce with tails up . Very cute . Magnolia is brave enough to beg for the wand toy game and Daphne and Tamrack just follow around and then try to coax me back to their food dishes. I am feeding Gerber babyfood "turkey" and Royal Canin babycat and Royal Canin kitten. They lap up the babyfood morning and evening. It is easy to digest and I'm teaching them to come when called so I want something that they love as a reward that is good for them. I encourage turkey babyfood and the same dry food for a month in their new home to ease the transition.
These cuties are reserved by folks on the reservation list. Go Home Day May 28th.

Huge progress this week. They are using the big litter box. (Only a few accidents in the food dish). They have moved to the kitten room and are climbing on the cat tree (3 feet tall) and running and jumping around with each other. They all are confident and curious. I'm excited to see their personalities emerge in the next weeks. As potty training is not 100 and they are sometimes playing in the litterbox... I'll be bathing them this week and starting to use a baby brush. Leyland continues to be smaller but he is very heavy... all solid boy. Magnolia is very large and is now wearing a hot pink ribbon collar. Daphne has a light pink collar. Tamarack has a blue collar. My mom will be holding them regularly in her lap for photos and because they are so cute when they are moving around I'll try to get some video this coming week. They are terrified or at best disinterested in wand toys at this phase. Balls are cool.

Hazelnut's babies are starting to use the litter box. I say starting.. they haven't got it under wraps yet. I've introduced kibble ( Royal Canin Babycat) and they have no idea what it is for... Names are Boys: Leyland and Tamarack. Girls are: Magnolia and Daphne. Leyland is a seal point with white. He is slightly smaller than his siblings but that could change. He is super cute, lots of eye contact and loves to play with his siblings. Tamarack is a bigger lynxpoint male with no white. He looks like his father Cesare. The girls are similar in size and Magnolia has white socks. They are big for girls. Daphne and Magnolia are lynxpoints. All four have blue eyes which didn't show up very well in these photos. We will use natural light next week. Three of these darlings will be going to the G family . One might be held back as a breeder. I'll know more in the coming weeks. We often hold back multiple kittens in case they are breeding material and then release some or all back to the reservation list. These kittens are still in my bedroom and sleep next to my bed (with my old dog Bella).

Names and individual photos next week. SO far these kittens are sleeping in my room next to my bed.
They love being in Grandma's lap. But they want to be together as a group. They sleep in a pile, nurse together and cuddle. I just gave them a larger nest box and a few balls but they don't appreciate it yet. Confirming 2 males, 2 females and 3 have been reserved by the G family . I love Hazelnuts loving personality and expect her kittens to follow suit. My dog sleeps next to their box at night. Coloring will develop over the next month. The white rings around the blue eyes, and dark marks over the eyes may mean we have a bunch of lynxpoints but time will tell.

Looking more like seal points with white now... but we really wont know until they are 6-7 weeks old. I see little white paws and noses. Still in the nest box and Mama Hazelnut is super maternal. She loves her babies. They are super fat.
