Welcome to Hazelnut's kitten blog page. Born Aug 13th, 2024
Go home dates Nov 8-10th (updated)

Tucson left today and I look forward to getting updates from their new owners via email. This blog will be archived soon. Searchable by kitten name in search menu.
11-11-24
All kittens are in their new homes and I love getting updates and photos. Tuscon is the exception. He is here for another week. His blue eyes are turning green as expected. He is going to be a large kitty. He weighs a lot for his age and is calm and confident but always up for a game of ping pong soccer or feather wands. I will archive this blog soon but it is always searchable by kitten name or Hazelnut's name.
10-26-24
All kittens are reserved except Albuquerque or "Q" the red point blue eyed boy. He, along with the other males are excellent with children. They come running for attention and enjoy being played with. Q and Phoenix are all "boy" and wrestle and jump for toys. I am so happy that all of this litter is being socialized at my friend, Eroica's house with her children. Tucson is a wonderful kitten too and feels right at home in your arms. They will be getting their 2nd fvrcp vaccine and returning to my house on election day. Ready to go the weekend of the 8-10th. I'll be reaching out to folks to set up a pick up day/time. More photos coming in the next few days .

Hazelnut's babies are weaned, have had their first vaccines and are living the good life with their foster family . It's a big family with 6 kids from age 3 to age 18. They are getting lots of love and handling. Tucson is quite a good shoulder kitty. Riding around happily. He is goofy and fun. Albuquerque or Q is super cuddly. Phoenix and Sedona are adventurers and love to purr when petted. All are very, very affectionate, have lots of eye contact, good listeners and come running when the babyfood is put in their dishes. They are plump, active, healthy and gorgeous.
10-10-24 Eight weeks. Running the house
The gang are now eating Gerber babyfood and all fat and sassy. I have decided to add Sedona on a breeder reserve also. I'd love to retire Hazelnut in 2 years but keep my familiar bloodlines. I have been working with this bloodline since 2009 and am so pleased with the colors and personalities. New pics coming soon. I'll be reaching out to everyone on the reservation list after the litters get evaluated by my vet. Q is first to the food bowl and is the fluffiest. Phoenix is so busy with balls he must have been a soccer player in a former life. Tucson is still climbing my pant legs and Sedona is a mama's girl all the way.
9-29-24 Six weeks - potty trained
Wrestling, rolling little ping pong balls, 100 percent potty trained and eating real kitten food. This group is doing great. They climb my pant legs and try to get in my lap. They also roll over on their backs when I stroke them. They are still nursing and will be doing that for several more weeks. Vet wellness exam is scheduled for the 12th of October. I have tentative reservations on all of them except the red girl Sedona at this time but nothing is set in stone until after the exam. I will be reaching out to those on my list in date order to offer Sedona. Red females are rare and she is exceptionally girlie and sweet. Sedona will get a "mane" around her neck. They will all get very fluffy at 8 months. Albuquerque is already a fluff ball.
9-17-24 Five weeks. Waddling around and wrestling in slow motion
Not eating yet... just nursing. Little red/flame point boy (actually big for his age) below is looking like a big cotton ball. He is not photogenic. However in person he is sooo cute. When I walk in the room I am greeted quickly by 4 fluff balls and they bat at my sandals and try to suck on my socks. They are bold and friendly, fat and I absolutely love them all. The girl is slightly less bold but she is coming around. Soon they will be tasting food and are already using their tiny litter box.
9-10-24 Out of the box at Four weeks.
This has got to be the fattest bunch of kittens I've had in years! The lovely babies are venturing out of the nest box during the day and starting to potty train... or perhaps thinking about doing it in the litter box but not. Im doing a lot of cleaning and laundry. The kittens are absolutely gorgeous. I had to hold them for the photo because they are excited about being in the room and look down when they walk. They will not yet look at a waving feather.. that will probably come next week when they get their 'legs' and balance. They are kind of waddling.
9-1-24 2 weeks old Four fatties. 3 males 1 female
8-26-24 Almost 2 weeks old.
Nurse nurse. Cuddle, Cuddle. Nurse. Sleep. Sleep. That's all they do 24/7. Hazelnut is a terrific mama.
8-19-24 Six days old.
Not much has changed except that the babies are a little larger. Next week when they open their eyes they'll get cute.
8-14-24 One day old.
