The kittens are in their loving foster home with 6 kids. Neighbors and relatives visit too so they are getting a lot of love. Sacajawea has been reserved as a "Special needs kitten" with a wonderful family. She is doing very well. Lewis and Clark have been reserved. I'll try to place Walter, Amelia and Marco with folks currently on my reservation list. The list is long but most people want to wait until summer is over to get a kitten which I totally understand. Kittens are potty trained and eating Blue Buffalo Tastefuls kitten dry and chicken babyfood. They are gaining weight and doing fabulous. More photos soon.

Today was weaning day. The kittens took it in stride. I am letting them run the house during the day. Lots of holding and petting and wand toy play going on. They are starting to purr when touched. Some are attacking my sandals while others sleep. There is a lot of growing going on, lots of eating and sleeping. Today I woke them up to take photos. They were not impressed. Here are photos from this afternoon mixed with a few videos.
Tomorrow they go to their foster home with a family with 6 kids. They will be carried around like dolls and hang out in a stimulating and loving environment. They are already confident but will be much more so by August 2nd when they return.

Seven and a half weeks old. These kitties are playing a lot and love feather wand toys. They can often be found piled up asleep on the cat tree by their window too. Mama Emmy continues to be nurturing and although the kittens are eating kibble, cans, and babyfood they are still nursing regularly. Because their activity is high it is a challenge to get them to sit still for photos. I use a wand toy with a jingle bell plus my neighbor to help . The brown tabbies are developing green eyes while the seal points have blue eyes. They still run to me when I enter and climb on me while Im cleaning the litterboxes. Very outgoing bunch. Sacagawea has a crooked tail and may need surgery and a special needs placement. She is under the care of several vets and I will keep updates coming. It is something she was born with and is very unusual.
6-23-25 Potty training
6 weeks tomorrow. Messy potty training happening right now. I'm loving these kittens. The neighbors come regularly to help me hold and love them. Emmy is very relaxed about people holding her babies which is excellent. She is a friendly cat and loves new people. Sacagawea is going to be gorgeous but still looks like a cotton ball. Marco is a little larger than the others. He and the other boys are quite playful and adventurous.. good spirits. Amelia is very cute with her white mittens. Next week they should all be eating dry and babyfood, using litterboxes and climbing their cat trees.

This group is now going in and out of their nest box, drinking water from a bowl, and starting to play with toys. Mama Emmy's milk is their main attraction still. They wander their room, exploring the corners and whine a lot when they get separated from each other or Emmy. They kind of waddle.. Muscles are building and coordination skills advancing. Four and a half weeks old. Names below. All are different coloring. They are all fat and roly poly.

Next post will include names and collars, genders. Here are some more quick photos after they had been held. The blue lynxpoint girl is looking down. She is exceptionally beautiful however not interested in photography yet. Their vet exam is on July 12th and choosing will be right after that.
6-3-25 3 weeks
5-27-25 two weeks old
Gender change: one of the colorpoint kittens is actually a girl. So 3 tabby males, and 1 color point male. The girls are smaller and as you can see from the photo on the yellow blanket.. there is quite a size difference between them. Eyes are almost open. One kitten still has his eyes closed so I'll add his photo in a few days. They are all very plump and active. Mama Emmy is turning out to be very maternal. The neighbor kids and I are holding them regularly but they still prefer snuggling with their mom. This is kind of an awkward stage before they can really see and walk much. Looking forward to them developing over the next posts.
5-20-25 one week old!
5-19-25
The kittens appear to be 5 boys and 1 girl.
The girl is a blue lynxpoint I think. They will be named after explorers: Meriwether, Lewis, William Clark, Marco Polo, Walter Raleigh and Amelia Earhart. New photos coming soon.

Two black tabbies that will probably have brown tones, and white mittens. One grey spotted tabby and three colorpoint kittens . Total of 6 healthy babies. The colorpoints will develop red ears or grey ears and then we will know what color they will be as grown ups. Emmy was upset and confused on the 1st day. I was out for a few hours and when I came home she was in active labor and settled down with some petting and love. She is a sweet girl, fairly large and loves to purr.
