Orion aka Obi

**Orion is available to those on the reservation list**.  He is sweet and extremely affectionate. Orion aka nick name Obi was going to be kept at the cattery for breeding next year but Ive decided to bring in a different bloodline instead. He is very well put together mentally and physically.

Angel is pending to a nice family. She is the little one who is still here. All of the other kittens are in their new homes. This blog will be archived soon and can be retrieved by searching by kitten name or Cassie's name.

All kittens are reserved by people on the reservation list. Angel has a tentative reservation with a lovely local family. 
These kittens are at an active phase. They love jumping for feather wand toys and can often be found playing soccer with ping pong balls. They really like their Turbo Scratcher toy too. Sirius Black has grown considerably. He is a leg climber. And Nova and Aries are wrestling partners which is splendid because they will be going to their new home together. Callisto is a super sweet girl and has a loud purr. When I go into their bedroom/kitten room they all congregate at my feet waiting for baby food and petting. The purring is loud and Nova is always first into my lap. All of them are adorable and social. We've had family and friends visiting this week so I've been slow to take photos. Please accept my apologies. They had their 2nd FVRCP kitten vaccine yesterday. They are all quite plump and very healthy. This week is their last week here. I will miss them terribly.

This is a fun and sweet bunch of kittens. Nova has a high energy level and is very brave. Angel is a little shy but very silly and fun. They all purr when petted and seem interested in people. They are not weaned yet so much of their socialization will come after weaning and they learn to love their human family most. The vet visit on the 3rd went great. All are extremely healthy. Angel is still small but except for her short fur is proportionate. Her fur will come in later.

When I sit down on the bed in the kitten room Nova climbs up my back and perches on my shoulder.   
Sirius Black excitedly runs circles in the room which is an obstacle course of toys and boxes to hide in. Both Orion and Aries wrestle and jump on top of the cardboard box next to me. Angel sits sweetly inside the box posing. Calisto aka Callista follows her brothers around until I get out the feather wand toy and then it is game on. All eyes are on the feathers and I swirl them in the air. The kittens jump up over and over .

This week I'll be trimming their nails and giving baths. They don't really need a bath but it helps getting them used to it for when they are bigger.

1-1-25     names and personalities

On Friday Jan 3rd they go to their wonderful vet for a wellness check up and first fvrcp vaccine. This is the normal kitten series. They will have one more booster before they go to their new homes. Go home / pick up will be scheduled individually between Jan 28th and Feb 4th.   Choosing individual kittens begins on Jan 4th. I will do my best to include detailed descriptions next week and more the following week as they develop.   The foster family have named them  .

Sirius Black, male

Sirius Black is one of the two mini sized kittens. He is extremely snuggly and cuddly. If you ignore him he will curl up on your sock. He has been known to cuddle in your hair on your shoulder and go to sleep. He is currently 'half size' at one pound.  However he is gaining fast. 

Angel

Angel is the other half size 'mini' kitten. She is a blue eyed girl with white mittens and a messy face from her lack of manners at the food bowl. She likely has the same markings as her sister Nova. Angel is one pound. She is very sweet and happy.. always interested in her people. She enjoys being held and is getting lots of love like the other kittens are in her foster family with six children.

Nova a seal point female with white mittens, mouth and blue eyes is unique. She is a very large an active kitten. She RUNS to you when you enter the room and climbs up for attention to be petted first. She is extremely outgoing and a little wiggly at this age. She loves to play with wand toys .

Orion, lynx point male with white mittens and blue eyes. Very friendly chap with a mellow personality compared to his litter mates. Orion doesn't take anything too seriously but he is not left behind on activities. Not a wall flower.. just chill. Lovely kitten. 

Calisto, female

Calisto is a true beauty. She is like the others.. running to you when you enter the room When you sit down she is right in your lap. She is sweet and outgoing too. Calisto is a dilute tortie with green eyes.

Did someone say 'lap'? Aries has achieved his 'handsome' status early. He is a black/brown tabby with green eyes. Aries also runs up for attention right away. He is sweet and relaxed but loves to wrestle with his siblings.  Super cat. But all of these cats will be great with everyone. 

Rosalina female

Rosalina.. beauty queen. This tortie with white mittens is a looker. She is a little shy but I am not worried. Often in a big litter one or more of the kittens will blossom.  It is early yet to label personalities permanently.  Rosalina is very sweet and loves to play.

Update short. All are potty training. Eating solid food and doing great. Mini size kittens are growing fast.

Thank you for your patience. Here are some cute photos of the babies. Black mini size kitten is probably a boy . My mistake.. everything is mini size! The little ones are starting to drink kitten formula and babyfood (chicken) and nursing throughout the day. The potty training has begun. Most of them are learning fast. Mini size grey/colorpoint girl nicknamed " baby bird" is gaining weight daily. She will be entered into the blog next week. 
We are working on celestial names to be announced soon. The kittens are getting held and loved on by my friend Eroica and her six children.

Absolutely adorable group of individuals. Pictures not in order. Five large fat kittens and two mini size kittens.  Just nursing this week and lots of naps. Rolling around on their blanket and cuddling with mama Cassie. Names tba.

11-25-24

Approaching 3 weeks of age.  I am noticing that there is a lot of size difference in the kittens. Unfortunately the black kitten and one of the colorpoints kittens are undersize. I have started supplementing with Kitten Milk Replacer formula for the little ones. The kittens are hard to photograph at this age so the photos will improve. The kittens are sleeping and nursing all day. They are very  content in the nest box.  Cassie continues to be mellow and sweet. She is the best mom. 

11-17-24

 Here are 6 of the 7. All are very healthy. I just missed the 3rd colorpoint kitten.. it was nursing. Mama Cassie is super mellow and loves having visitors. She is content and purring all day. I am feeding her a can of food every 4 hours. The kittens have started to open their eyes but can't see yet. Next week I'll do individual photos and announce genders.  All of these kittens are reserved by folks on my reservation list at this time. Picking begins after their 8 week vet exam and goes in order of deposit received however I will guide everyone towards good choices for their home situation.  Watch this space for weekly updates. 

Miss relaxed and happy-go-lucky Cassie had 7 beautiful kittens of different colors at 4am on Nov 5th. Luckily I was awake to observe but she didn't need any assistance. There is a black tortie girl with mittens, a dilute tortie girl, 2 lynx points, a black (solid) and a possible cream with stripes, and a mackerel tabby with white. Individual photos coming when they open their eyes in a week. All of this litter is reserved with deposits and will be going to their new homes at the end of January / early Feb. I'll be posting weekly photos and updates as time allows.
