Cassie and Mikola had 6 kittens May 13th, '23.
Aug 6th, '23.
Mercutio leaves next Sunday. Cordelia, Miranda and Romeo left yesterday. Juliet flies to Alaska at the end of the month. Mercutio and Juliet are purr machines and sound like little lawnmowers. All of the kittens are in their new homes or reserved at this time. It has been a pleasure raising this bunch. Thanks to my friends in Damascus, Oregon for helping so much with socialization. Lovely kitties!!! This is the final blog entry.

Go home dates Aug 5/6th. I'll be reaching out this week to those on the reservation list to talk about choices . I'l also be sending emails on kitten care, pet insurance (free 30 day promo with Trupanion), and a list of food and litter that is recommended.
Miranda: Very snuggly, Playful, nice to everyone.
Romeo: Adventurous, content, hungry ( eats a lot).
Cordelia: Snuggles a lot, lets other kittens dominate, quiet.
Juliet: Talkative, energetic, snuggly. Large. On a breeder reserve.
Portia: Sleeps on your chest, playful, silly.
Mercutio: Dynamo personality, active, loving.
Overall the kittens are all amazing cats.

Cassie's babies are growing fast. They are extremely skilled at using the litter boxes now with no accidents. They still get carried away wrestling and can end up spilling the kibble on the floor and leaping into the water bowl. They sleep in a big pile up on the cat tree and are starting to purr when petted. They are very tolerant of small children and noise. The laid back attitude from Mama Cassie helps make lovely kittens. Chasing wand toys and exploring the house comes next week.
Jun 23rd. Six weeks
Potty training is successful and they are living a wonderful life playing and eating and sleeping. The kittens are so relaxed. My 2 year old granddaughter and I play with the kittens several times a day and they are very mellow. I accidentally missed a photo of Romeo but I'll add him in next week.
June 18th, '23 Five weeks old.
Goodness this is a messy week. Potty training and eating is happening. 99 percent of the time they use the litter trays now. It didn't start that way. I am using very low, easy-entry trays with either Worlds' Best litter or Clay litter. They like the clay litter to pee in and the WB for their other business. Things will even out in the next 10 days or so. They are eating dry and canned food, and baby food. They have nice round, fat bellies. Cassie is such a great mom. She purrs with every step. Next week I'll describe their personalities more. Usually at 8 weeks I have everyone figured out as individuals. Now they are wearing colored collars to help me. They are elastic. I'll try to take another set of photos late in the week using natural light so you can see their beautiful eyes. Some of these photos are dark.
Update 4 weeks June 10th, '23
Lots of lap time with Grandma. These kittens are delightfully relaxed. This is characteristic of Cassie's kittens as she is also very mellow. Tomorrow I'll let them wander the kitten room and explore smelling kitten food: I doubt they are ready to eat yet. They will also check out the kitten litter pans.I use World's Best Litter. I use it because it is made from crushed corn and doesn't stick to their fur like clay litter does when wet. We are assigning names this week. Portia is the blue tabby. Romeo and his friend brother is Mercutio. The boys are slightly different colors. Romeo is lighter. He will be a blue lynx like his dad Mikola. Mercutio is slightly darker which you can see by looking at the outline of their ears. It is a subtle difference now. The 3 other girls are Pink collar : Juliet with white feet. and the other 2 are to be named tomorrow. If you look closely at their eyes you can see that they don't focus straight forward yet. This is normal and the eyes straighten out in photos by 6 weeks. Siberians are slow to develop and everything is on track for normal development.
Update June 6th,'23 more pics
Oh boy these kittens are really fat. This is good. But it is slowing their movement lol. They are like little seals. This week they are still in the nest box..but it is a larger box now. So they can move around and wrestle. Next week I'll cut a door in the box so they can come and go. We've trialed putting colored collars on them but they don't fit right yet. Lots more photos, names and collars next week. These babies will be ready August 5th or thereabouts. More updates on Sunday.
Update June 4th, '23 (3 weeks)
May 28th, '23
These kittens are well fed and calm. Eyes are open (99 pct). They are adorable. All they do is nurse and sleep with the occasional wriggle around the box. When you pick them up they cry for mama Cassie who saunters over to see what the fuss is about. We are working on names. It will be a Shakespeare theme. I have a stool near the box where I sit and talk to them and pet them. Cassie is eating like a horse and enjoys her daily brushing while eating her canned food.

Sadly one kitten didn't make it. The remaining 6 are all healthy and fat. There are FOUR girls and 2 boys. The one week photos are below on the red couch.
They will open their eyes soon and we will get some great photos and video of the little bobble head babies.
