Big day ... Quinn was neutered today, and got his microchip. Nikita (aka Qaprika) got her flight health certificate for travel to Ohio on Friday... and Quinn is going to his new family that day too. Kittens got their vaccines this last weekend too.. and a treatment of Revolution.. It is almost time!!!!!

Qaprika, now "Nikita" has found a lovely new home and will be flying to Ohio with her people on April 20th. 
Every day I look at the coloring and try to make a judgement about what they will look like as adults. Right now the dark mask is appearing more noticeably .. and this indicates Seal Point. On the lynx points you often see a white ring around the eyes.. and an "M" on the forehead by now. Quinn has obvious leg striping but also a coming mask. Could they be a hybrid of seal point and seal lynx point? Yep! In the natural daylight on this window sill the eyes show their true blue.. very pretty.... We had some big changes this past few days. Both Dori and Annie went into heat - it must be the weather, the moon cycle, the time of year... both mama cats weaned their kittens down to one feeding per day and then started calling for a male. Neither of them will be bred now but will spend time here relaxing with other adults.. The kittens are all eating well and very round. They are spending all of their days playing with my friend, Amanda and her three young children. HI! Here is a great website for the Siberian owner (or any cat owner or Siberian enthusiast).

Here are some photos of them playing. This is what they do most of the time. I just woke up at midnight and they were cuddled around my dog next to me or on me. They are very social.. lots of eye contact.. In the next week we will be practicing coming when called and using the scratching post. I tap a spoon onto a saucer and call them as a group. Then I give them a micro tidbit of some canned food. They will now do this daily. This is really handy in case one of them escapes one day and you need to have them come running to you.. or you can't find the kitten -sleeping in a laundry pile somewhere in the house.. You can also use it to teach they their own individual name. Quinn and Qaprika are still busy wrestling each other on and off while Qamra is content playing by herself or cuddling with someone or the dog. All of them are very sweet and gentle. Annie has conveyed her inner peace onto them. and they are well centered.. happy little kittens. Qamra: Colorpoint female, 5 weeks. White socks. Blue eyes.Especially sweet feminine female with an easy going temperament. Qamra is patient and probably will tolerate dressing up in clothes and being pushed in a doll stroller. Qamra loved to peek over the top of the nest box and stare at me (or watch me) for long periods of time. These long periods of eye contact were so sweet - she makes a real connection with people - curious without being devious. I liked her a lot from the beginning. The mark on her nose may be a flaw but she will be so beautiful a little angel kiss on her nose won't be noticed much. Qamra - also called Qammie or Cammie in the house.. or baby... is happy to play or just 'be' with you. While the siblings were running back to mama quickly after a short period of playtime on the couch.. Qamra stayed for hours... happy to be with her people.
The three kittens are all developing the raccoon tail stripes and the pretty line from the outer edge of their eyes outward.. and the beginning of the "m' on their forehead. They are all LYNX!
