The babies are growing up! Time to arrange 'go home' dates.. and practice sleeping without Antonia (mom).
Today seemed like a good day to sort papers and photos. My daughters are moving home from Portland and need more room in the house.. so my personal office had to shrink. This was fabulous for the kittens... jumping in and out of boxes full of papers and tapping me on the back of the head if I ignored them. Now they are following me around and sitting at my feet hoping to be picked up. I moved the cat tree into the kitten room and they love it. Frederitsa jumped off of the top of it .. like super kitten. Loki and Faina ironically kept jumping around in the box labeled 'cats'. Bianca climbed up onto my shoulder while I was sorting papers. I added individual pages for the kittens on the slide menu - hold the cursor over ANNIE KITTEN BLOG. We are trying out different cat litter types this week. The kittens are all doing best with "World's Best" brand. They are using the litterpans that are placed in the corners or the room and ignoring the other ones. Annie is getting a little bit fed up sometimes and tired of feeding her kittens. Yesterday she fell asleep with her chin on the water bowl. I will be giving Annie several hours to relax away from the kittens on the enclosed patio to do some birdwatching every day.
a little blurry but cute thanks to my daughter Lauren for this video My daughter made a nice kitten video and after several hours of trying to upload it.. we are giving up until tomorrow. The kittens are absolutely wonderful. I think that they are still fairly cautious and extremely bonded to mom, Annie. Over the next two weeks they will be spending more time away from mom and playing in the living room. This coming week they will have their second vet well check exam. Shoelaces are still a big fascination.. and much time is spend napping and eating. Life is simple. ..
turn down the volume and tilt your head.....ha! Bianca and Loki will be going to Beth and Dustin . Laura- congratulations on your wedding, will be taking home Frederitsa the blue tabby girl,... and Faina, the black mackerel tabby girl, will be going home to live with Debbie and Dori;s son, Boris! The personalities are starting to show. Loki, the only boy is a super sweet cuddle bunny. When I am just relaxing he will come up and curl up in a ball and go to sleep on my hand. He likes to be nearby and touching. Little dilute tortoiseshell girl, Bianca, is a typical tortie in that she is fairly confident and vocal. Tonight she climbed up my back and perched on my shoulder because I was ignoring her. She is quick to greet me when I walk into the room. Little blue Frederitsa loves jumping straight up in the air, wrestling with the hem on my jeans and rolling on a plastic bag to listen to the sound it makes. Last but not least... miss Faina (Fy-EEna) is quick to come when called, often rolling on her back in a relaxed fashion..loves to get her belly rubbed.. and is often playing hide and seek with her siblings..
